Depigmentation

Hair washing in oxidant solutions to remove the initial color is done through several washes that can last up to 20 days, depending upon the amount of natural pigment needed to be extracted.

In order to prevent hair damage only natural pigments can be removed, contrary to pigments from treated hair which cannot be extracted.

A special technology has been developed to discard chemically treated hair and finally guarantee the distinctive quality of Great Lengths.

Pigmentation

Bunches of hair are submerged into a solution with controlled temperature and pH value.

Pigments are subsequently added to the solution in order to tone the hair color to the desired shade. Great Lengths coloring products are extremely delicate and derived from the most precious yarn of all: cashmere.

Shade perfection is measured and ensured in laboratory using a color spectrophotometer.

Blending

Strands of hair are carefully hand-blended in order to create the most natural possible color. Subsequently, many different shades are added, to increase color depth and mimic the natural appearance of human hair.
