The incredible journey of “The Art of Extensions” started with true Italian hospitality. Welcomed in the heart of Rome, the top stylists began their experience with a dinner in a traditional Roman osteria. Between pasta and fine wine, it was the perfect occasion to meet, connect, and share moments with the Great Lengths teams, including Great Lengths HQ and Great Lengths USA, and Ambassadors.
The following day, the stylists immersed themselves in the world of Great Lengths with a factory visit, discovering every stage of the production process. From depigmentation — carried out through an osmotic bath to preserve the integrity of the cuticles — to the colouring phase, which follows the same delicate method used in cashmere dyeing; and finally to blending, where shades of different tones are combined to create the final colour with an exceptionally natural effect.
The process then concludes with the transformation of the hair (of Indian origin and ethically sourced) into extensions, through the skilled use of specialised machinery.
The stylists were able to observe first-hand how every stage of the process is carried out by hand — and, above all, with passion.
The most exciting and engaging moment of the event was the “Top Artists in Action” session, where the stylists were invited to create unique looks on models using Great Lengths extensions. They had total creative freedom, with only one request: to achieve a true transformation.
And transformed they were: each model revealed a version of herself she had never seen before, as the stylists enhanced their natural beauty through artistry and vision.
